"It was on a whim my husband and I decided to look at potential new homes for our young family. When we found our forever home and our conditional offer was accepted, we needed to act fast and sell our current home. This was our first time selling, we had no idea where to start, what to do, and we were spinning!!! We have two little girls age 4 and 2 plus my husband is a an elementary teacher with resources everyone and I run my business from home which was just gearing up for Christmas. Plus I really didn't think we would find the right home.
When Alanna arrived, she was prompt and friendly. She had a genuine smile and twinkle in her eye that told me everything would be fine. We sat down and she gave me an overview of her role and what her process would be for that day. Then away she went through our entire home taking notes. Alanna was so respectful and quite, at one point I forgot her she was there. When I turned a corner and she was sitting in the rec room, I jumped out of my skin. We had a good laugh.
Time was a huge issue. Alanna arrived on Thursday afternoon and I had to have the house in tip top shape for the next day. Just less than 24 hours.
Alanna knew this. She still did a very thorough report with detailed notes and ideas. Besides her calmness and assured nature, she wrote out her important list. 10 things that will make a smashing difference. She said even if I could do 5, it would be good but all 10 would be better. She made clear notes and references to pages. Following her instructions was a snap. We got 9 of the 10 accomplished before the pictures and virtual tour were done.
When our house was listed, we had an open house that day from 2-4. Our home sold within 4 hours that night in a multiple offer situation.
Alanna called a few days after to follow up, and congratulate us on the sale as she had heard the good news. I would highly recommend Alanna for any home staging, interior design or decorating project. She is the best of the best at what she does."

"Capital Home Staging & Design’s owner Kristy Morrison & her team were recommended to me by an acquaintance. My Realtor had told me that staging wasn’t necessary but I disagreed so I called Kristy to book a consultation. During the consultation Kristy did a careful assessment of our home, drawing a floor plan for each room, and advised us which furniture pieces to keep and which we were to remove. She also made a list of recommendations of items that was required for the home, I was not confident in selecting the items on my own so I hired Kristy to go shopping with me to obtain the proper items. We set aside $2000 to buy everything but we got it all with the great shopping help all for under $1000. Mirrors, bed-in-a-bags, flowers, artwork, throw pillows, curtains etc were all set up the day our photos were scheduled to be take and I LOVE it. Voila! Our home of 37 years was ready to show.
